2025 SABAA Team Tournament Trail Nationals | KwaZulu - Natal | Albert Falls Dam
SABAA Team Tournament Trail is proud to host the 2025 Joey’s Towing SABAA TTT Nationals at Albert Falls Dam.
The tournament will take place from 6 to 8 November 2025.
Albert Falls Dam is situated on the Umgeni River, just outside Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Established in 1976, the dam has a gross capacity of 290.1 million cubic metres and a surface area of 23.521 square kilometres (9.082 sq mi). The dam wall stands 33 metres (108 ft) high.
Fish species: Largemouth bass, common carp, and redbreast tilapia are the most popular species found in the dam. Other fish include barbel and various kurper species.
Bass fishing: The dam is renowned for its large largemouth bass and once held a world record for the most bass caught in a single day. While the fishing can be unpredictable, techniques often focus on deeper water structures, submerged trees, and stump fields.
We eagerly anticipate welcoming you to KwaZulu-Natal for what promises to be an unforgettable championship experience.
